We are recruiting for II-VI in Newton Acycliffe, Durham in the United Kingdom!

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Set up and adjustment of probe stations, including SMU, Lasers and Optical switched and Fibre.

· Maintaining tool calibration by Gauge R and R and Golden Wafers.

· Perform new product introduction activities liaising with product engineers and production staff to establish test capability for new products.

· Support production with Test-related issues.

· Support process engineering and technology development groups with device-level tests.

· Development and optimization of test hardware, firmware and software.

· To help ensure that the test department operates efficiently and safely.


MAIN TASKS:

· Setting up and maintaining in-line and Known Good Die production test systems to ensure reliable, accurate and repeatable operation.

· Specifying & procuring new probe cards and developing test algorithms for new products

· Engineering analysis of the test data. Preparing test reports including wafer maps, SPC reports, correlation of test data, product performance against specification etc.

· Supporting Test Technicians and Operators with production issues.

· Performing training of production staff when required.

· Fault-finding of production wafer test systems.

· Test system development and optimization.

· Producing device evaluation and diagnostic reports for internal and customer reviews

· Test software writing, development and maintenance.

· Maintaining focus on improvement activities.

· Writing and maintaining tester records, test instructions and procedures.


EXPERIENCE

Some IDevice Test experience. Some experience of LabVIEW. Some exposure to Test Systems and Test instrumentation such as Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analysis, Vector Network Analyser, Signal Generator. Proven experience of working in volume semiconductor test engineering Experience of applicable equipment (EG Prober Stations) Experienced in test equipment selection and commissioning. Experienced in semiconductor device characterization.


TECHNICAL SKILLS

Strong analytical and problem solving ability. Strong computer literacy Practical semiconductor test skills. Understanding of SPC techniques Knowledge of statistical techniques Ability to develop semiconductor test systems (DC and/or RF). Some programming ability e.g. in Labview.


PERSONAL QUALITIES

Pro-active and capable of working without direct supervision Prepared to be flexible in working hours to suit business needs, may need to work outside of office hours. Project team-working ability. Ability to train other colleagues in job specific skills Good Communication skills. Must have drive to achieve results, Able to demonstrate staff supervision experience.


EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

HND/Degree qualified in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar.

Must be willing to undertake further training and development as necessary.
