Job Description and Qualification:

The Tennis Coach is responsible for teaching compound residents of all genders and age groups how to play or improve their tennis skills. Moreover, the Tennis Coach is responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep of the Tennis and Multi-Sports courts by closely coordinating efforts with the Operations and Maintenance Department. Additionally, as part of the recreation team, the Tennis Coach is also required to assist with various other types of recreational activities and requirements that may or may not be directly related to tennis.

  •  Develop couching programs and conduct private and group tennis lessons for residents to instruct them in rules of the sport, game strategies, and performance principles, such as specific ways of moving the body, hands, or feet in order to play the sport well.
  •  Monitor residents’ progress and adapt programs as required.
  •  Contact the parents of younger residents to provide information and answer questions about their children’s lessons and progress.
  •  Ensure tennis courts are clean and free of health and safety hazards.
  •  Enforce the rules and regulations of the tennis facilities, as well as the policy for booking courts.
  •  Develop and arrange competition schedules and programs.
  •  Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all swimming pools on the compound. ? Prepare lists of required equipment to carry out lessons and competitions, and initiate purchasing processes accordingly.
  •  Assist the Activities Coordinator in the planning, preparation and coordination of various recreational activities, including but not limited to children’s play time on bouncy castle and/or other inflatable equipment, parties, bingo nights, fun runs, cooking demonstrations, bazaars, and various types of competitions.
  •  Perform any other reasonable tasks as required by the Company.

  •  Five years of experience as a tennis coach/instructor at sports club or resort; preference given to candidates who have played the sport professionally.
  •  Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  •  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
  •  Basic word processing skill to put programs and schedules in writing for residents.
  •  Excellent customer services skills and experience.
  •  Ability to work well within a team environment.
  •  Excellent grooming standards, and professional appearance.
