Job Description:

Reporting to the IT director, the Network and Systems Administrator ensures the management of the company networks including servers, workstations, and all telecommunications equipment.  The administrator also ensures IT support to all users in Microsoft Windows and Office 365 environment.  The administrator’s functions include the realization of improvement projects for IT infrastructure and will work closely with the management team.    


  • Manage the company’s Microsoft servers
  • Manage all communications equipment (firewall, router and other network devices)
  • Ensure company network security and propose ongoing improvements
  • Ensure performance, availability, and security of the environment to current policies and maintain monitoring tools
  • Ensure backup of the servers and periodically test the disaster recovery plan 
  • Manage office desktops and laptops, including configurations and updates
  • Manage user accesses to the network and MS Office 365
  • Provide level 1, 2, and 3 support (office and factory) for both hardware and software
  • Maintain all documentation and business network processes  

Skill and Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
  • MCSE or CISSP certification (an asset)
  • 3 to 5 years experience in IT in a manufacturing environment with servers and network equipment (firewalls, routers, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2019 including management of Active Directory, GPO, file/print server and Terminal server
  • Excellent knowledge of network and communication principles: DHCP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, TCP/IP routing protocol
  • Good knowledge of cloud services with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure
  • Good knowledge of VMWare and Fortinet technologies and products
  • Good knowledge of Lenovo’s servers and SAN technologies
  • Detail-oriented, service-oriented, initiative, analytical  
  • Capacity to adapt quickly and good organizational and project management skills
