Job Description and Qualification:

  • In charge of  supervision for the production of bottles on one furnace to ensure quality production in all shifts.
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement of existing jobs and working with the production team to improve production practices and improve production speeds while maintaining high quality standards
  • Check and maintain all set process parameters for the job
  • Record section/machine downtime and mechanical or electronic problems in the Shift Engineer’s logbook
  • Inform QC Supervisor of critical defects made and sectional jam ups
  • Investigate causes of critical, major and minor defects made and implement measures to prevent repeat
  • Implement corrective actions to rectify mechanical failures
  • Ensure that subordinates are executing their responsibilities during the shift
  • Assist in machine start up and setting following job changes during the General Shift to normal conditions
  • Ensure adherence to housekeeping rules
  • Monitor lehr performance during the shift and take corrective actions
  • Monitor ware handling and take corrective actions.
