Job Purpose Statement: 

  • Responsible in taking care and displaying all the foods at the lounge according to the approved menu manual standard with full responsibility.  

  • To ensure smooth and efficient daily operation activities in areas of responsibilities.  

Roles & Responsibility 

  1. Implement all instructions & directives coming from Team Leader, Asst. Manager. & Regional Manager   

  1. Follow the instructions from Immediate Superior. 

  1. Always enhance the company image by giving above standard quality of service to all our valued customers. 

  1. Must always apply and practice the Service Level Agreement & Standard Greetings. 

  1. Ensure submittal of Lounge Daily Food & Facility Temperature Reports, Dump Report, and shift end report to Admin Office. 

  1. Always ensure high quality of food service and presentation. 

  1. Ensure food tags for all food including allergens. 

  1. Participate in maximizing profitability of the department and achieve the set target plan by food forecasting wisely.  

  1. Must check the quantity and quality of all food delivered. Any discrepancy must be reported, return, and replace immediately. 

  1. Must arrange and follow the first-in first-out (FIFO) policy. 

  1. Responsible in displaying all food items as per the category based on approved menu. 

  1. Responsible in ordering correct food quantity forecast to the store through email. 

  1. To instruct Buffet Man for assistance and help them to carry out their task. 

  1. Responsible in keeping the food counter clean, guide the waiter at the lounge. 

  1. Must monitor the temperatures of the food products and make sure that they are presented at right temperature.  

  1. Must follow the approved food service timing, standard food temperature / date marking, display & set-up presentation. 

  1. Must attend whenever the passenger needs assistance and knowledge with any of the food displayed. 

  1. Ensure cleanliness at all areas of responsibility. 

  1. Attend morning briefing with the Supervisor at the lounge. 

  1. To act and perform any other related duties assigned by Regional Manager / VP- Airports Lounges.  

  1. To have a realistic food ordering forecast based on weekly flight schedule, peak and off-peak hours and holidays.  

  1. To encourage staff in helping the department in saving expenses.  

  1. To report any malfunctioning of lounge equipment’s for immediate repair.  

  1. To always minimize the food wastage.  

  1. Responsible for monitoring lounge food stocks and back-up.  

  1. Always ensure 100% hygiene results.  

  1. To participate in food tasting and to have kitchen visit along with superiors.  

  1. Promote standard of hygiene, safety, and sanitation of the respective areas.  

  1. Ensure all staff to follow personal hygiene standard.  

  1. Ensure full compliance of hygiene, quality, and temperature control for all food items in line with Quality Assurance.  

  1. Ensure complete checking of actual quantity and quality of all food items before accepting.  

  1. Ensure complete checking of food shelf life / expiration date before accepting.  

  1. To participate in team department building activity, gatherings, party and meeting with all staff.  

  1. Train subordinates to do their own work well.  

  1. To attend any related training course within the department as required.  

  1. Communicate with subordinates verbally in writing to keep them informed on activities training recommendations.  

  1. Encourage participation and create effort by maintaining a constructive attitude toward suggestion.  

  1. To solve and assist staff in solving their problems both personal and work related.  

  1. To act on any given assignment by the superior in accordance to the job related purpose. 




Communication & Working Relationships: 


To act according to the authority given by Regional Manager or VP Airports Lounges with full respect and professionalism.  



Minimum Requirements for The Job: 


Graduate/ Degree holder in Hospitality Service or any related course to the position.  

Years and Nature of Experience 

2-3 Years’ experience in the Operation / Lounge Service, Hotel, Hospitality Service is preferable.  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Proper Handling of People and Operating project or other related hospitality system  

  • Good in communication skills, both written and verbal
