• Supervising/facilitating engineers for process control, yield, process development, and meeting targets.
• Supervising/facilitating engineers for technical problem-solving.
• Providing leadership and mentoring/coaching to all team members.
• Set priorities and guide engineering activities in alignment with the goal of the organization.
• Collaborates with other functional groups, including Operations, Equipment Engineering, Process Integration, Design, Supply Chain, etc. to achieve business unit/organizational objectives.
• Assess competence and evaluate performance of individual engineers and provide mentorship for professional development.
• Promote and facilitate cooperative teamwork.
• Serve as the representative of the team in internal/external communication.

Education & Experience
A Bachelors' degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Sciences or a closely related science or engineering major and at least 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or a Master degree and 8 years of industry experience or a PhD degree with 5 years of industry experience. GaAs semiconductor processing or optoelectronics device experience preferred. Experience of mentoring other engineers.
Skills & Other Requirements
• Knowledge of general semiconductor wafer processing and engineering practices.
• Knowledge of multiple unit processes.
Knowledge of engineering statistics.
• Good written/oral communication skill.
• Fluency in MS Office suite as well as JMP or other statistics software.
• Project management skills
• Team management and development skill
Working Conditions
• Will be exposed to areas where hand tools and power tools are being operated.
• Will be exposed to areas where hazardous chemicals or gases are safely stored.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor protocol/requirements,
